I have two passions in life – selling Hawkes Bay real estate and bonsai, the ancient oriental art of growing miniature trees. Each tree has its own characteristics and special requirements. Patience, persistence and individual care is needed to achieve the desired results.
What does growing bonsai have to do with selling real estate? More than you would think! Each property has its own characteristics and each client their own particular requirements. I strongly feel that I don’t just sell houses, I sell homes. I know that a property is so much more than just bricks and mortar. It can be the realisation of a lifelong dream, a place where an entire family grew up, or a peaceful place to escape to after a long day at work.
From my 23 years of real estate experience, I have learnt that buying or selling a home is a huge investment, not just financially but also emotionally. Matching people with properties to get the desired result for both vendors and buyers requires the same understanding, patience, persistence and individual care as growing bonsais. Just as I want to minimize stress on my trees, I always do my best to work with people to help them realise their dreams, without causing unnecessary stress.
