About Grant Matthews
Grant Matthews is a local South Auckland boy through and through. Joining Ray White Manukau in mid-2020 to kick off his real estate career as a licensed salesperson, Grant has spent pretty much his entire working and personal life living in around this part of Auckland.
His first job as a trainee technician position maintaining and installing telephone exchanges with New Zealand Post Office set the course most of his working life. As the government department metamorphosed into Telecom, Grant stayed with the new company and was promoted to a Project Coordinator role acquiring a Diploma in Business and a Diploma in Management from AUT along the way. He moved on up into corporate sales with Telecom’s Gen-i as Service Delivery Manager for 4 years. He loved the people contact and problem-solving aspects of this role. He then moved to Waitemata Hydraulics where he stayed for 5 years. In the meantime, Grant had been buying and developing residential property all around central and south Auckland, so it came as no surprise to friends and family when he decided in early 2020 to join the real estate industry as a salesperson.
Grant is a gregarious and likable communicator with an analytical mind and a great love of solving problems. This is the ideal combination of attributes for success in real estate. He has a vast knowledge of IT, a strong sense of community and these, combined with his significant sales background equips him well for the running of campaigns to sell residential homes and to guide the buyers that his listings attract.
