I feel fortunate to have grown up in a farming family on the outskirts of a small rural town in the Far North with Mum, Dad, and my three siblings. It is from these humble beginnings that sparked the satisfaction I feel from good, honest, hard work.
From becoming head boy of my High School, to accepting an offer to become part of the New Zealand Army as an Officer, then furthering my education at Massey University have all led me to where I am today. All these parts of my life have taught me skills such as teamwork, leadership, and time management among many others.
I moved to Wellington over 14 years ago and pursued a career in Real Estate shortly after, having now had my license for over 12 years. A drive to carry out real estate at the highest level still lights a fire within me. I couldn’t think of a career I would rather be involved in. Any awards won or recognition garnered is just a bonus.
Outside of Real Estate, I live in Wellington with my wife Amy and my son Kiaan. Becoming a Dad has been my greatest achievement to date. I am a social person and have a good sense of humor - I have been known to pull a few harmless pranks in my time!
I find great enjoyment in physical exercise; I have represented to a regional and national level in Swimming, Rugby and Triathlons. Currently, I pursue Crossfit as an outlet for energy where I have competed among the best in NZ. Being a little older now, I would be the first to admit it is getting a little harder to compete with the guys 10 – 15 years my junior (especially trying to work through a long-standing niggling injury). My discipline, determination, and mental fortitude needed to succeed in sport carry directly through to the real estate industry, helping me to stay very focused throughout the sale until completion and achieve the best result for clients.
Faultless character with WOW factor. A builder's own home, it was lovingly renovated in 2013 including a complete rebuild of the kitchen and bathroom, with a double garage and deck added. West facing, it has beautiful views over the valley, and is drenched in sun until late. Evening entertaining on the deck is a must.
With high stud throughout, spacious is an understatement. There are 3 huge bedrooms plus separate sleepout, 1 bathroom and 2 toilets, a designated living and dining room, and beautiful, light filled kitchen with breakfast bar and ample storage. The wood burner in the living room warms the whole house. The generous entry (which has doubled as a study nook) and hallway is another play area for children and/or dogs. Pull down attic stairs add extra storage.
The 698 sqm section is ready for the enthusiastic gardener. There is also development potential. The owners have fully completed drawings for a second 3 bedroom dwelling on the rear. It was WCC consented in 2020. The aforementioned sleepout is on a level above the house, and could be used for a home office, studio or teenager's abode. A garden shed, multiple fruit trees, along with the best washing line in Wellington (owner's opinion) sits atop the section. The bird life is entrancing, with Tui, Kereru, Kingfisher, and Kaka, regularly showing their colours.
30 Abbott Street is a 7 minute walk to rail bringing you into Wellington in 12 minutes, or a 15 minute drive to the CBD in peak time traffic. The library, butcher, dairy, chemist, hairdresser, takeaways, childcare and service station are all an easy 5 - 10 minute walk. Ngaio Primary School is a 2 minute stroll up the street. A wonderful, safe and community-minded suburb. Make the most of the local dog park and Nairnville sports ground. A truly lovely place to live.
It's time for the present owners to move to be closer to children and grandchildren. They look forward to handing her on to new owners who they hope will love her as much as they have.
