I feel fortunate to have grown up in a farming family on the outskirts of a small rural town in the Far North with Mum, Dad, and my three siblings. It is from these humble beginnings that sparked the satisfaction I feel from good, honest, hard work.
From becoming head boy of my High School, to accepting an offer to become part of the New Zealand Army as an Officer, then furthering my education at Massey University have all led me to where I am today. All these parts of my life have taught me skills such as teamwork, leadership, and time management among many others.
I moved to Wellington over 14 years ago and pursued a career in Real Estate shortly after, having now had my license for over 12 years. A drive to carry out real estate at the highest level still lights a fire within me. I couldn’t think of a career I would rather be involved in. Any awards won or recognition garnered is just a bonus.
Outside of Real Estate, I live in Wellington with my wife Amy and my son Kiaan. Becoming a Dad has been my greatest achievement to date. I am a social person and have a good sense of humor - I have been known to pull a few harmless pranks in my time!
I find great enjoyment in physical exercise; I have represented to a regional and national level in Swimming, Rugby and Triathlons. Currently, I pursue Crossfit as an outlet for energy where I have competed among the best in NZ. Being a little older now, I would be the first to admit it is getting a little harder to compete with the guys 10 – 15 years my junior (especially trying to work through a long-standing niggling injury). My discipline, determination, and mental fortitude needed to succeed in sport carry directly through to the real estate industry, helping me to stay very focused throughout the sale until completion and achieve the best result for clients.
Jonathon understands the meaning of ‘professionalism’. His drive for achieving unmatched levels of service is a commitment he takes immense pride in, making you feel looked after every step of the way. True to his mainland roots, if Jonathon says he is going to do something, rest assured it will happen.
“For me, Trust and Integrity are everything”
Jonathon has previously spent 7 years in England where he was a Golf Club Professional. He puts his success down to having a tireless work ethic and a tenacious appetite for excellence and now brings these attributes to the real estate industry.
Besides golf and sport having played a big part in his life, Jonathon has a passion for exploring new places. He’s had some amazing adventures around the world, but ask him where his favourites are and they will always be close to home with family and friends. Kayaking in the Abel Tasman or experiencing complete tranquillity in the Doubtful Sounds are at the top of his list.
Jonathon continues to put the happiness of his clients first which is one of the key factors to his proven track record of success.
West facing for gorgeous afternoon sun and located towards the end of a quiet street in ever popular Ngaio. Put 44 Vasanta Avenue in on your must-see list. Comprised of four large bedrooms with two equally sizeable bathrooms, three w/c's and three flexible living spaces. The conventional layout with living downstairs and bedrooms up works wonderfully well.
The multiple living will comfortably accommodate the whole family. Enough room for young children right through to teenagers. Those with younger children will love the fact that the wee ones can run rampant on the lover level and out to the yard which is securely fenced. The open plan kitchen and dining allows for excellent social interaction.
In keeping with the spacious theme, the master bedroom is pushing 18 sqm in size and incorporates a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. The other three bedrooms on the upper level have easy access to the main bathroom. Children and those who like a long soak are well served by the bath in addition to the separate shower. A third w/c on the entrance level is convenient for all, guests and owners alike.
A separate laundry has direct access to the rear yard where the washing line is located.
Drive into double garaging with internal access. Bonuses include a workshop space and multiple off street uncovered parking spaces.
I need not wax lyrical about what a special suburb Ngaio is to reside in. Popular neighborhood, close to town and zoned for Khandallah School, Crofton Downs Primary School, Raroa Normal Intermediate, Wellington Girls College and Onslow College.
The current owners have loved living here for what is approaching 13 years. Now living in the Wairarapa, this home is genuinely for sale.
