Irish born, NZ –raised, Trevor Mordaunt brings a veritable wealth of knowledge -plus recent real-world experience- to his successful sales position at one of the capital’s top real estate firms. As an infantry soldier in the NZ Army, whilst studying at university in the early 2000s, Trevor quickly established a reputation as somebody who could be relied upon as being consistently strong, focussed, and dedicated. He built his career in hospitality -most practically- in the mid-2000s, working at London’s legendary Savoy Hotel where he was to return a number of times in the course of an extensive OE; both as manager of bars and banqueting operations then, latterly, as manager of the relaunched Thames Foyer Restaurant in 2011. At the time, the hotel was subject to major revitalisation and Trevor’s extensive skills were eagerly utilised by management. More global high-end restaurant positions were to follow, then eventually Trevor arrived back home. Here he worked again in hospitality – particularly in the far north – before deciding to launch himself into a new career – in real estate. “I think that my sense of discipline is one of my biggest advantages,” he says. “It doesn’t matter what the buying or selling situation is, I weigh it up and work out how to get the best result for my vendor - and for my buyers.” When he isn’t working hard with his Leaders’ hat on, Trevor throws himself into community affairs. A long-time lover of animals, he’s a local SPCA supporter and offers whatever assistance he can. He also acts as a community volunteer for Civil Defence, and for the local police department. “Real estate has offered me the chance to get out and about, getting to know people in the community,” he says.
