I feel fortunate to have grown up in a farming family on the outskirts of a small rural town in the Far North with Mum, Dad, and my three siblings. It is from these humble beginnings that sparked the satisfaction I feel from good, honest, hard work.
From becoming head boy of my High School, to accepting an offer to become part of the New Zealand Army as an Officer, then furthering my education at Massey University have all led me to where I am today. All these parts of my life have taught me skills such as teamwork, leadership, and time management among many others.
I moved to Wellington over 14 years ago and pursued a career in Real Estate shortly after, having now had my license for over 12 years. A drive to carry out real estate at the highest level still lights a fire within me. I couldn’t think of a career I would rather be involved in. Any awards won or recognition garnered is just a bonus.
Outside of Real Estate, I live in Wellington with my wife Amy and my son Kiaan. Becoming a Dad has been my greatest achievement to date. I am a social person and have a good sense of humor - I have been known to pull a few harmless pranks in my time!
I find great enjoyment in physical exercise; I have represented to a regional and national level in Swimming, Rugby and Triathlons. Currently, I pursue Crossfit as an outlet for energy where I have competed among the best in NZ. Being a little older now, I would be the first to admit it is getting a little harder to compete with the guys 10 – 15 years my junior (especially trying to work through a long-standing niggling injury). My discipline, determination, and mental fortitude needed to succeed in sport carry directly through to the real estate industry, helping me to stay very focused throughout the sale until completion and achieve the best result for clients.
Lovingly cared for, this spacious home with great location is very much an x-factor Hataitai opportunity. Built superbly well circa 1917 in the tried, tested and popular weatherboard style. Open and bright interiors with quality hardwood finishes.
Nestled away on a rear section, first impressions will be an overwhelming feeling of space. Generous areas and conventional layout with all living, dining and kitchen areas flowing down one side, bedrooms on the other, and the bathroom well located at the rear.
All three bedrooms are good sized doubles, with the master being "supersized". The master incorporates an area that is currently used as a study.
The large lounge is versatile and has worked well for the current family of five. The projector (staying with the home) has been a great way to enjoy movies and games on the big screen, and the bay window area can be used for lounging in the sun or a kids' art corner.
Entertaining is a pleasure in the large open plan dining and kitchen space, as well as being practical for everyday living. A ducted central heating system with good insulation provides a warm abode. Gas cooking and Rinnai Infinity gas hot water system.
A large private deck on the northern end is perfect for relaxing in the sun or entertaining. This is complimented by seamless indoor/outdoor flow from both the kitchen/dining space and one of the bedrooms to a private courtyard in the rear. There is ample space for the creation of fruitful gardens in the yard, which has already been started by the current owners.
Parking is by way of a single garage.
Location has already been touched on but this cannot be overstated! Central Hataitai, a short walk to the shops, transport and zoned for multiple schooling options. A hidden surprise is tucked behind the property, where the back gate provides direct access to the Hataitai - City Walkway.
See you at the open home!
