About Dushen Mallimaratchi
Licensee real estate salesperson Dushen Mallimaratchi discovered his passion for real estate while he was buying his first home in South Auckland. He launched his career in early 2020 and hit the ground running achieving some significant career milestones. These included the 2020 company-wide Rising Star award, the “Future is Bright award” and was particularly proud to be part of the sale of an Otara property for over a million dollars, the first in the region. As a Takanini resident, Dushen is well known locally and focuses his business on home sellers and buyers in South Auckland.
Dushen grew up in Sri Lanka and Australia and speaks English and Sinhalese. He came to New Zealand many years ago to further his experience in the hospitality industry and worked as a chef for a number of establishments in and around the Auckland region. Within a very short space of time, he was a head chef – at a relatively young age – at one of the Metro Top 10 café/restaurants in Auckland. He left the industry in late 2019 to study for his real estate licence and in early 2021 he moved to Ray White Manurewa after a stint with another brand.
Dushen’s background in customer service equips him well for his real estate role. He consistently delivers in terms of client expectations and is dedicated, hard-working, honest and calm under pressure.
